Non Profit Company (NPC) Registration
Navigating Financial Success Together
A Non-Profit Company (NPC) is a type of company established to serve the public interest or a common group goal. It is managed by members and directors, and must have a minimum of three directors or members. The company name must end with “NPC.”
To register an NPC, the following documents and details are required:
The number of directors (minimum of three) along with certified ID copies
Four name choices, listed in order of preference
The company’s postal and physical address
Company contact details (email addresses and phone numbers)
Full details of all directors (addresses, contact numbers, and email addresses)
A Limited Power of Attorney signed by all directors, authorizing us to register the company on your behalf (this will be sent to you via email once your order is placed)
A brief description of your NPC’s objectives
The NPC registration process is divided into two main steps:
Step 1 – Name Reservation: This takes 1–2 business days, but could be delayed due to high volumes at CIPC.
Step 2 – Company Registration: After name approval, registration takes 3–5 business days, though processing times may be affected by CIPC or SARS workload.
Once your NPC has been successfully registered, you will receive the following documents by email or post:
Company Registration Certificate (COR 14.3)
Notice of Incorporation (COR 14.1)
Confirmation of Initial Directors (COR 14.1A)
Memorandum of Incorporation (MOI – COR 15.1C)
Share Certificate(s) (as required)
