Close Corporation/Company Amendments

Close Corporation or Company Amendments involve updating key details of a registered business, such as its business address, contact information, or other company particulars. These updates must be formally submitted to CIPC to ensure your records remain accurate and compliant.

To process amendments for a Close Corporation or Company, the following information and documents are required:

• Company or Close Corporation registration documents

• Details of all current directors or members

• A clear outline of the changes to be made (e.g., new address, updated contact details)

• Certified ID copies of all directors or members (including those being added or removed, if applicable)

• A Notice of Meeting (drafted by us and sent to you for signing)

• Minutes of the Meeting (also drafted and sent for signing)

• A Power of Attorney, authorising us to act on your behalf (prepared and sent for signing)

The process generally takes 4–7 business days, but may take longer if there are delays from CIPC due to a high volume of applications.

Once your amendment is submitted and approved, you will receive one of the following updated documents:

• Certificate of Director Amendments (COR 39) for companies

• Amended Close Corporation Certificate (CK2/CK2A) for CCs
